Bwindi National Park features about 24 habituated gorilla families and they translate to only 192 permits.

A permit means a great opportunity to visit one of the gorilla groups. Each assigned to a maximum of 8guests per day.

  • No person under 15years may trek gorillas
  • Gorilla trekking begins at 08:30hours. Arrive at least 15 min to this for registration.
  • Gorilla permit rates include park entrance fees, guide fee, a certificate of trekking and community Levey.
  • Advised to book for trekking at least 2-6months earlier.

  1. Foreign students with valid international identity cards are allowed 25% on entrance fee
  2. One day entrance is valid for twenty-four hours (24 hours) from the time of entrance.
  • Visitors with gorilla permits do not pay park entrance fees (for the actual day of the trek)
  • If you are looking forward to engaging in any activity other than gorilla trekking within the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Forest. You are required to pay the park fees.
  • Please note that all visitors are required to produce valid ID’s in order to determine their residence status.
